We are not a franchise, we control our own destiny and make our own choices.
We are not a big-city profit center, we focus on more than just the bottom-line.
We are not too busy, we make time for you. No matter the size of your needs, you are important.
We are not an assembly line, we want to get to know you and your family.
We are not marketers, we do not want to sell you services you do not need.
We are not data entry clerks, we want to help you understand your books.
We are not better than you; we are good at what we do and you are good at what you do, that is what makes us both profitable.
Professionally, I have been around small business most of my life. When I was a small child, my father was a farmer. Like so many others, he left farming during the 80's and learned a new trade in the electrical field. For nearly 15 years, he successfully ran that company with the help of my mother, myself and my three sisters. We joke that between the four of us girls, we could probably wire a whole house on our own (although I'd never actually test that theory)!
I recently earned my Enrolled Agent designation with the IRS, granting me unlimited representation rights with my clients in front of the IRS. The Enrolled Agent designation is specifically for tax professionals, as opposed to other professional designations. I am also currently serving as the Treasurer of the Glenwood Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. I can usually be found volunteering at church and other various community activities.
I am the mother of an energetic seven-year-old, Wonder Woman loving little girl, Rylee. I have a loving husband of fourteen years and ten other "children" dotting the globe. We have hosted ten international students that are just as much a part of our family as anyone else. My husband, Chris, is an art teacher and coach at a local school district. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, bodybuilding and throwing pottery.
I graduated from Essex Community School in 1999. I then went on to Dana College in Blair, Nebraska where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2003. During and since college, I have gained experience and expertise in all areas of business. For seven years, I ran an office in Omaha, conducting a vast majority of the daily operations. I have remained close friends with several colleagues and supervisors over the years and take pride in my work history and ethics.
I grew up in Hamburg, Iowa and graduated in 1993 from Hamburg High School. I attended Kaplan University where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
I live in Riverton with my fiance, Rick and our teenage children. In my free time I enjoy crafting, chasing kids and attending dirt track races.
My daughter, Ami, is a Junior at Shenandoah High School where she is involved in cheerleading and choir. Rick owns his own truck repair business and enjoys dirt track racing.
